Uganda is a beautiful nation full of breathtaking people and lavished natural resources. Unfortunately
these people have been ravaged by evil dictatorship, civil war and the deadly AIDS epidemic. An estimated 2.4 million children
have been orphaned by these calamities. This nation has stood against all odds and the people are fervently working to give
their children a better tomorrow. The day to day reality of each Ugandan child is deadly diseases, savage wars, no parental
figures and not even the most basic of modern necessities. The dream of every child in Uganda is to go to boarding school
to receive a strong education. Ugandans are resilient and hold on to the dream of a bright future, but they need our help.
By the minute babies are orphaned and left for dead. Our world has begun to turn their eyes to the continent of Africa and
help is on the way. Non profit organizations are overran with children in need, the government is doing all that they can
although it is still not enough. We must each begin to think of the people of Africa not as strangers but as our neighbors.
Our neighbors who are created in the same image of God that we are.
